Wireless service outage — far south San Antonio, Von Ormy and Poteet

An equipment failure at one of our tower sites has interrupted wireless service for some customers on the far south side of San Antonio and in the Von Ormy and Poteet areas. Service went down at 11:32 AM on Saturday. The repair needs a tower crew and cannot be completed before Sunday morning. Not every wireless customer in these areas is affected, fiber customers are not affected, and the rest of the network is running normally. We will post updates here.

This outage is resolved. Service was restored at 10:02 AM, 1 hour and 41 minutes after it went down, and the site has since been returned to permanent power. Thank you for your patience.
Service has been restored for customers in rural areas around Floresville and Elmendorf. The site came back at 10:02 AM, 1 hour and 41 minutes after it went down. It is running on temporary power while the repair is completed, so there may be a brief interruption when it is switched back. We will confirm here once permanent power is restored.

We've confirmed a service outage affecting up to 128 customers in the Sandy Oaks (Waterwood) area near Elmendorf, which began at 8:40 AM. We're working to identify the cause and dispatch a crew.
We've confirmed the cause: a fiber cut affecting 72 customers in the Sandy Oaks (Waterwood) area near Elmendorf. A crew is on-site and repairs are underway. Estimated repair time is 4–5 hours.
Customers are being restored as each fiber splice is completed. As of this update, 31 of the 72 affected customers have been restored; 41 remain without service. Repairs are continuing.
Most affected customers have been restored. As of this update, 55 of the 72 affected customers have been restored; 17 remain without service while crews finish the final splices.
Repairs are complete. Service has been fully restored for all 72 customers affected by this outage.
